Must have/meet: * Resident of service area * At risk of loss of utility service * Meet program guidelines for household income and expenses * Have not received utility assistance or rent assistance in the last 12 months
Please bring with you: * Current water shut-off/delinquent notice * The previous 2 months of water bills * Current month's rent receipt if home is rented * Documentation of monthly mortgage payment and receipt to show proof of payment if home is owned * Most recent bill for all utilities the client pays and receipts to show proof of payment of each * Documentation of court-ordered monthly child support payments, if applicable * A valid Neighborhood Card

Provides housing referrals, utility assistance for electricity, gas or water; rent assistance, emergency food, prescription assistance, birth certificate application/fee payment assistance, referrals for ID cards, baby care items and referrals to other social services as needed for individuals and families in emergency/crisis situations. Also provides holiday assistance for the Christmas season through the CAReS Giving Tree Program.
